PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COURSE CFP ADR

The acronym “ADR” is an acronym which indicates, in French,: “Accord european relatif au transport international des merchandises Dangereuses par Route“, and which in Italian translates as “European Agreement relating to the international transport of dangerous goods by road” .

This certificate is mandatory for drivers of vehicles carrying out both national and international transport of dangerous goods (explosive, flammable, radioactive, etc.) so that all employees are informed and trained in order to avoid accidents during transport as much as possible.

Currently there is a basic CFP and three specializations (tanks, explosives, radioactive).

Depending on the CFP they possess, drivers can drive:

Vehicles which, regardless of the type of total mass when fully loaded, transport dangerous goods beyond the exemption limits of point 1.1.3.6 (ADR 2011) with methods other than tanks, excluding the transport of explosive substances and objects of class 1 and class 7 radioactive substances.

Vehicles which, regardless of the type of total mass when fully loaded, transport dangerous goods beyond the exemption limits of point 1.1.3.6 (ADR 2011) with methods other than tanks, excluding the transport of explosive substances and objects of class 1 and radioactive substances of class 7. Vehicles transporting fixed or removable tanks, battery vehicles with a total capacity exceeding 1000 liters and vehicles transporting tank-containers having an individual capacity exceeding 3000 liters per transport unit.

Vehicles other than tanks, regardless of their total mass when fully loaded, which transport explosive materials and objects of class 1 in quantities exceeding that of point 1.1.3.6 (ADR 2007)

Vehicles which, regardless of the type of total mass when fully loaded, transport dangerous goods beyond the exemption limits of point 1.1.3.6 (ADR 2011) with methods other than tanks, excluding the transport of explosive substances and objects of class 1 and class 7 radioactive materials. All types of vehicles, regardless of the total mass when fully loaded, which transport class 7 radioactive materials, if the total number of packages is greater than 10 or if the transport index (IT) is greater than 3.

The CFP ADR is issued following a compulsory course followed by a theoretical exam in written form at the UMC offices, and must be renewed every 5 years through a compulsory course and an exam.

The questionnaires are paper-based, not computerized.

EXAM PROGRAM The exam program focuses on the notions contained in the ADR treaty, a treaty which is subject to updating every 2 years and which contains all the useful and mandatory information for the transport of dangerous goods by road.

COURSE PROGRAM: The course, held by Eng. Giuseppe Marrapodi, takes place over two consecutive weekends (Sat-Sun) and takes place at our headquarters in via Giordano Bruno 4 in Gallarate and will touch on all exam topics in a simple but in-depth manner.
